Early Summer Session

For students who wish to continue their regular weekly classes through the summer, the Academy offers classes for all levels including adult classes.

Story Ballet (NEW!)
July - August (check back in the spring for 2012 dates)
Ages 3 – 5 and 6 – 8
This series of classes for young children includes ballet movement, music exploration and story ballet. Classes culminate with an end of the week showcase featuring their new performance skills. Each week’s theme is a well-known classical ballet, such as The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake and Cinderella.

Annual Summer Intensive
July - August (check back in the spring for 2012 dates)
Monday – Friday, 9:30 am – 3:30 pm (4 weeks)
Ages 9 – 19
Designed for students who are seriously pursuing the highest quality dance education and training, this rigorous training program includes 25 classes per week in Ballet Technique, Pointe/Pre-Pointe (for upper level students only), Ballet History, Repertoire, Variations, Character, Jazz, Modern, Flamenco and Stretch.
Instruction is provided by the Academy’s faculty members as well as renowned guest instructors. Family and friends are invited to a showcase on the last day. Audition required for non-Academy students.

Adult Summer Drop-in Classes
June – August (check back in the spring for 2012 dates)
Adult Ballet classes include “Absolute Beginner” Ballet, Barre Only, Intermediate/Advanced Ballet (with morning and afternoon classes available) and Pilates/Yoga class. Some summer classes are taught by a professional company dancer from Nevada Ballet Theatre.
